37 Years of Service, Trust & Leadership

Founded in 1985, Razi Health Foundation of New York is a network of volunteer physicians and philanthropists with a goal of providing disaster relief, medical and non-medical assistance to those in need, particularly, at times of great national and global emergency. For the past 2 decades, Razi has been in the forefront of disaster relief and prevention of deadly diseases, such as, COVID-19 on a global scale. Additionally, Razi strives to help patients in the Iranian-American community who might require special assistance with their medical needs in the U.S.

Dr. Kharazi received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981. He worked in the Chemical industry for over 31 years before retiring in 2013.  Besides his industrial experience, he has been an adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College and Rutgers University.  

Dr. Kharazi has broad involvement in serving the community as a volunteer and was chosen as the 2017 Franklin Township Man of the Year by the Franklin Reporter, 2019 Town Hero by Tapinto news outlet, and is the recipient of NJ Governor's Jefferson Award for community service.  Currently, he serves as the President of Razi Health Foundation, President of Franklin Township Interfaith Council, Director and Vice President of Masjid-e Ali, President of Sadiq School, Board of Trustee and Vice President of Dr. Martin Luther King Foundation and a member of Human Relation Commission in Franklin Township, New Jersey.

Mrs. Zanjanian has joined Razi with a rich and impressive resume both as an educator as well as an active member of her community.  Along with her loving husband, a distinguished medical professional in his own right and a longtime Northern Jersey resident, she has been extremely supportive in a variety of capacities, especially, in cultural and social forums and settings including past President of Passaic County Medical Society.

A former high school instructor, Mrs. Zanjanian holds a graduate degree from the prestigious Tehran University.

As a former President and one of the founding members of Razi Health Foundation of New York, Dr. Zanjanian has for decades been involved extensively with a host of medical, educational, cultural and humanitarian organizations in North Jersey.

As a Clinical Professor, Dr. Zanjanian has been invited to teach at such prestigious colleges and schools of higher learning as Rutgers Medical School's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy & Immunology and Tehran University's School of Medical Sciences.  In addition to Presidency of medical staff in regional hospitals, Dr. Zanjanian's past professional credentials also include Presidency of New Jersey Society of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology.

Mr. Malihi joined Razi as its Treasurer back in 2003 having actively served as a mentor and a board member in a host of other literary, artistic and cultural community centers in the Greater New York area for many years prior.  He has over 2 decades of experience in the field of Information Management and Technology within the financial sector, including, some of the largest banks and brokerage firms in Wall Street.

Mr. Malihi holds an MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently serving as a co-Director of a UK-based environmental design startup.

Donna Zanjanian is a psychotherapist with 15 years of private practice in Soho. She has extensive experience treating adolescents and adults with interpersonal difficulties and in need of crisis intervention. Issues treated include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and addiction and recovery. Donna's practice embodies a holistic approach which addresses issues of the mind, body and spirit.

Donna is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology/Mental Health and Wellness from New York University's Department of Applied Psychology. She also holds a Master of Public Health from NYU. Donna has completed the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Education and Training and holds a credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification.

An alumnus of Rutgers University, Mr. Moghaddam is an accomplished Principal Engineer with decades-long distinguished resume within the telecommunications industry. 

 

His history of volunteer and humanitarian service is equally long and stellar having initiated and led multiple cultural and educational projects serving diverse communities in the Central Jersey region.  

​

He currently holds the position of Trustee and Principal of Sadiq School in Somerset. Mr. Moghadam is committed to nurturing charitable and humanitarian causes and assisting fellow beings whenever and in whichever way possible.
